You might be thinking “Apologetics??? That sounds like the word APOLOGY…I don’t want to make apologies for the Lord, I want to make a strong stand for Him!”
We definitely want to encourage you to take and make a visible difference for Jesus, but let’s back up a bit. We get the word APOLOGETIC(s) from a greek word we find in the New Testament, apologia, which means to give a verbal defense or the logical reason we believe something.

So, the study of apologetics means to sharpen your skills in defending what you believe, learning how to answer questions and/or criticisms, and doing it all in a humble, Christ-like manner. Sounds easier than it is! But the Lord will guide you through the Holy Spirit as you read His Word and desire to win people to Jesus!

Why should we study apologetics? Actually, we are commanded in scripture to work on our apologetics!  “…always be ready to give a DEFENSE TO EVERYONE who asks you a REASON of the hope that is in you, with humility and fear.” (I Peter 3:15)
